Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how LoudlabsX LLP ("Clipadda," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in India, collects, uses, discloses, and protects information ("Personal Data") of users ("you," "your," or "Data Principal") of clipadda.com and the Clipadda app (collectively, the "Services"). This Policy is issued in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 read with the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 (together, "Indian Data Protection Law").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the collection and processing of your Personal Data as described in this Policy and our Terms of Service.

1. We Collect and Use Information From and About You

Clipadda is a video clipping marketplace that connects creators, brands, and streamers ("Creators") with clippers who cut, edit, and publish short-form clips from longer content ("Clippers"), along with tools that help either side automate parts of that workflow. Depending on how you use Clipadda, we collect the following categories of Personal Data:

  • Contact information: Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
  • Identifiers: Username, password, and other online identifiers, including social media handles and identifiers we assign when you visit our site or app.
  • Government and verification identifiers: PAN, Aadhaar (masked/last 4 digits where applicable), bank account or UPI details, and other information reasonably required to verify identity and process payouts to Clippers.
  • Demographic information: Gender, country, preferred language, date of birth, and age.
  • Payment information: Through our third-party payment processors, payment method and transaction details for payouts to Clippers and payments from Creators or brands.
  • Content you submit: Clips, videos, audio, thumbnails, captions, comments, reviews, survey responses, and messages you send through our chat or support features (including transcripts of those conversations).
  • Social media and connected account information: If you connect a YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Twitch, or similar account, we collect data available through that platform's API, including username, user ID, profile information, video and content metadata, media URLs, view counts, engagement metrics, and analytics.
  • Marketplace and transaction data: Campaign or gig details, clip submissions, approval and payout status, ratings, and your preferences and history using Clipadda.
  • Internet and device activity: Device and browser type, network connection, IP address, pages viewed, links clicked, and similar data collected through cookies and related tracking tools.
  • Location information: General location inferred from your IP address or postal code.
  • Inferences: Preferences, characteristics, and interests we derive from the information above.

Some of this information (for example, financial data, government identifiers, and account credentials) is treated as Sensitive Personal Data under Indian Data Protection Law and is collected only with your explicit consent and used strictly for the purposes disclosed to you.

2. We Use Information as Disclosed and Described Here

We use your Personal Data, on the basis of your consent or as otherwise permitted under Indian Data Protection Law, to:

  • Operate the Clipadda marketplace — matching Creators with Clippers, processing clip submissions and approvals, and facilitating payments and payouts.
  • Verify identity, complete KYC where required for payouts, and prevent fraud.
  • Communicate with you about your account, submissions, campaigns, payments, and support requests.
  • Send marketing communications and, where you have consented, deliver targeted or interest-based advertising.
  • Test, maintain, and improve Clipadda's features, reliability, and user experience, including through analytics.
  • Comply with our Terms of Service and Clipper Terms.
  • Protect the security of our Services and investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or violations of our content requirements.

We will provide you with an itemised notice, in clear and plain language, describing the Personal Data being collected and the purpose of processing before we collect your consent, as required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.

3. We Collect Information in Different Ways

  • Directly from you — when you create an account, submit a clip, message support, complete a survey, or contact us.
  • From your devices — through cookies, pixels, and similar tracking tools used on our website and app.
  • From connected accounts and platform APIs — when you link a social media or streaming account, the platform shares data with us under its API terms and your authorisation.
  • From other Creators, brands, or Clippers — for example, campaign details a brand provides, or performance data shared as part of a marketplace transaction.
  • By combining sources — we may combine information collected online, offline, or from third parties to build a more complete picture of your use of Clipadda.

4. We Share Your Information with Others

We share information:

  • With other marketplace participants, as needed to complete a transaction — for example, sharing a Clipper's submission and profile with the Creator or brand running a campaign, or sharing payout status with a Clipper.
  • With vendors and service providers (data processors) who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, cloud hosting, customer support, analytics, and email delivery, under contractual obligations to protect your data.
  • With advertising and analytics partners, including for targeted or interest-based advertising, subject to the choices described in Section 5.
  • To comply with law or protect rights — for example, in response to a lawful request from a court, government agency, or law enforcement authority under applicable Indian law, or to investigate fraud or enforce our agreements.
  • In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
  • With your consent, or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.

We do not sell your Personal Data. Where we share Sensitive Personal Data with a third party, we require that party to maintain a comparable level of data protection.

5. Your Choices About How We Use Your Information and Advertising

  • Marketing communications: You can opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in any message. We will still send transactional messages related to your account, campaigns, or payments.
  • Cookies and tracking tools: You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or, where available, a cookie preference tool on our site. Essential cookies required for login and core site functionality cannot be disabled.
  • Interest-based advertising: You can manage mobile ad tracking through your device's privacy settings and, where offered, opt out of interest-based ads served by our advertising partners.
  • Connected accounts: You can revoke Clipadda's access to a linked social media or streaming account at any time through that platform's settings, or by disconnecting the account in your Clipadda settings.

6. Your Rights as a Data Principal Under Indian Law

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights as a Data Principal:

  • Right to access information: Request a summary of the Personal Data we hold about you and the processing activities we carry out.
  • Right to correction and erasure: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data, and request erasure of Personal Data that is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, subject to our legal retention obligations.
  • Right to grievance redressal: Raise a grievance regarding our processing of your Personal Data (see Section 7).
  • Right to nominate: Nominate another individual to exercise your rights under the Act in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw your consent to processing at any time, as easily as you gave it (see Section 11).

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Grievance Officer using the details in Section 14. We will respond to verifiable requests within the timelines prescribed under Indian Data Protection Law.

7. Grievance Redressal Mechanism

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 and the Information Technology Rules, we have appointed a Grievance Officer to address your questions, requests, and complaints about this Policy or our handling of your Personal Data.

Grievance Officer: [Name], Founder & CEO, LoudlabsX LLP

Email: support@clipadda.com

We will acknowledge and endeavour to resolve grievances within the timeline prescribed by applicable law (currently seven days from receipt under the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025). If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

8. Cross-border Transfer of Your Information

We may store or process your Personal Data on servers located outside India through our service providers. Any transfer of your Personal Data outside India is carried out in accordance with Section 16 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and will not be made to any country or territory restricted by the Central Government.

By using our Services, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing. Contact support@clipadda.com for more information about the safeguards we apply to cross-border transfers.

9. Security and Data Retention

We use reasonable security practices and procedures, including administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, that are consistent with the requirements of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, to protect your Personal Data from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, complete marketplace transactions and payouts, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

10. Children

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we treat individuals under the age of 18 as children. Clipadda does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children without verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian.

If we learn that we have collected a child's Personal Data without such consent, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with Personal Data, contact us at support@clipadda.com.

11. Withdrawing Consent

Where we rely on your consent to collect, use, or disclose your Personal Data, you may withdraw that consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by contacting our Grievance Officer at support@clipadda.com.

Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, and may limit or prevent your ability to use certain features of Clipadda, which we will explain to you at the time.

12. Third-party Links, Connected Accounts, and Platform APIs

Our Services may link to third-party websites or apps we do not control, and this Policy does not apply to those third parties.

We access connected social media and streaming accounts through each platform's API under its developer terms, and your use of those connected accounts remains subject to that platform's own terms and privacy policy (for example, YouTube/Google, Meta, TikTok, Twitch, and X).

You can revoke Clipadda's access to a connected account at any time through the platform's account settings or your Clipadda settings; doing so stops our ability to access further data through that account's API.

To request deletion of previously collected connected-account data, email support@clipadda.com with the subject line "Connected Account Data Deletion Request."

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Subject to the dispute resolution provisions of our Terms of Service, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy.
